Mirror Summer Kit – July 2009
The Daily Mirror and Sunday Mirror gave away Lilos, beach bags, beach balls, frisbies and sun hats every day. The promotion ran from 11th – 13th July 2009. Readers could redeem the collection at WHSmith stores. The promotion was advertised on national TV.
David Attenborough – September 2008
The Daily Mirror and Sunday Mirror gave away a collection of 14 classic David Attenborough DVDs. There was also a wildlife poster and stickers every day. The promotion ran from 13th -26th September 2008. Readers could redeem the collection at WHSmith stores or if they kept the vouchers they could apply by post. The promotion was advertised on national TV.
Doctor Who – June 2008
The Daily Mirror and Sunday Mirror inserted 6 Doctor Who stickers every day on 7th -13th June. The stickers featured stills from the hit BBC series and were inserted inside every copy of the paper. The promotion was advertised on national TV.
Little Miss – May 2008
This promotion was a collection of 12 books of Roger Hargreaves’ most popular Little Miss characters including Little Miss Naughty, Little Miss Trouble and more. Redeemable at Woolworths stores or via post, a voucher was printed daily in the Daily and Sunday Mirror from the 17th – 28th May 2008. Despite not having TV support, this giveaway proved to be very popular amongst our readers.
Hannah Montana – May 2008
The Daily Mirror and Sunday Mirror inserted 6 Hannah Montana trading cards every day on 10th -16th May. They were inserted inside every copy of the paper. The promotion was advertised on national TV.
Alan Partridge – April 2008
The Daily Mirror and Sunday Mirror gave away both complete series of I'm Alan Partridge, the classic comedy programme starring Steve Coogan, on 12 DVDs. The promotion ran from 12th -23rd April 2008. Readers used vouchers that were printed in the paper to redeem them at Somerfield stores or collected the vouchers and applied by post. The promotion was advertised on national TV.
World War I & II – March 2008
The Mirror gave away 7 DVDs relating to World War I and 7 DVDs relating to World War II. The promotion ran from 1st -14th March 2008 and proved to be very popular amongst readers. They collected vouchers printed in the paper and redeemed them at Somerfield stores or applied for the DVDs through the post.
Mr.Men – February 2008
This promotion was a collection of 12 books of Roger Hargreaves’ most popular characters including Mr Tickle, Mr. Bump, Mr. Happy and more. Redeemable at Woolworths stores or via post, a voucher was printed daily in the Daily and Sunday Mirror from the 2nd – 13th February 2008. The give-away proved to be hugely popular amongst our readers.
High School Musical 2 – January 2008
The Daily & Sunday Mirror gave away a double-sided poster and five sets of 6 High School Musical trading cards from 27th January – 1st February 2008. The trading cards and poster were inserted in the paper.
Events that shook the World – January 2008
This promotion featured a collection of 20 DVDs and commemorative Mirror front pages of the news events which changed the world we live in. They included the death of Diana, the first man on the moon and the release of Nelson Mandela. The first DVD & front page were polybagged and then vouchers were printed everyday in the Daily and Sunday Mirror over a period of 19 days could be redeemed by readers at Somerfield stores or could be used to apply by post.
